All the convenience of a cleaned and ready-to-use truffle, that you can slice or grate. The whole Summer Truffle is kept in wather and salt, it is perfect for every recipe that do not necessarily demand the addition of extra virgin olive oil, cooking cream or other kinds of condiments.
Black on the outside (called peridium). The inside (called gleba) may have a varying colour, from a shade of light brown to gray, according to the degree of the truffle maturation. It is possible to discern thin veinings in a light colour when slicing the truffle.
How to use
The truffle does not require to be cleaned as it is ready to be sliced on hot dishes (the heat will enhance its flavour) or to be grated.
We also suggest to employ even the brine in which is kept since it is excellent to flavour a broth, useful for the preparation of a risotto or to be added in the cooking phase of dishes made with truffle.
Once opened, keep it in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days.
Truffle harvested in Umbria and carefully selected. We only employ ripe truffles to exalt its characteristics.
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat or direct sunlight until opening.
